None of that reaches the summit unchanged. A warm day in the valley below can sit alongside snow and ice at the top of the cable car, and a cold, dull day down low says very little about what the glacier station is doing right then. Treat the two as separate places, because the mountain treats them that way.
It follows that the climate table is genuinely useful for planning Lucerne and the coach journey, the parts of the day spent low down, and genuinely unhelpful for predicting what the summit itself will be doing when you step off the cable car.
What a cloudy day at 3,000 metres actually means
At this altitude, a cloudy day means the cloud is where you are standing, not somewhere over the valley to admire from above. There is no month that rules this out. It can happen in the depths of winter and it can happen in the middle of summer.
The Rotair or Titlis Connect cable car will still take you up. What happens after that is weather permitting: the Cliff Walk suspension bridge, the Ice Flyer chairlift and the glacier cave are all subject to conditions on the day, in any season.
There is no month or season that removes this uncertainty. A clear valley morning can still mean cloud at the summit by the time the cable car arrives, and the reverse is just as true.

Snow tubing is not a single fixed activity here; where it happens changes through the year. From May to August it runs at the glacier park, up near the summit attractions. From December to April it moves down to Trubsee, the middle station in the valley below Titlis.
Both are described as depending on weather and snow conditions on the day, so neither is a fixed date on a calendar. The practical point is simply that the venue itself moves with the season, which is easy to miss if you are picturing one tubing run open all year round. If tubing is the reason for the trip, check which venue is running for the month you are travelling in, rather than assuming the summer location applies in winter or the other way round.
Construction is changing the summit right now
The operator states that from June 2026, because a new Titlis tower and mountain station are being built, summit visits are limited to about an hour of activities, weather permitting, before descending to the Trubsee middle station, where there is a restaurant.
The operator also states that the Rotair, the revolving cable car, is closed from 17 August to 11 December 2026. Outside that window, the routing and the cable car used can change without notice because of the same construction work.
Both of these are dated conditions tied to a building project, not a permanent description of the mountain, so treat them as current status rather than a fixed feature of the day, and expect the arrangement to be reviewed as the work progresses.
Dressing for the valley and the summit at once
Because the day covers a warm lakeside city, a mountain valley and a permanently snowy summit, the honest approach is to dress for the coldest place on the itinerary and carry a layer for the warmest.
